It was Men’s Health Week last month which was led by the Men’s Health Forum, the aim was to raise awareness of preventable health issues and encourage men to seek professional advice for health issues, some of which can be a little embarrassing. There’s no doubting it’s an incredibly important cause and one that at MSO, we’re proud to support.
Because women tend to be so much more proactive when it comes to their health than men, our diary is normally predominantly booked with female patients. Ironically then, we frequently hear stories about husbands and boyfriends who struggle with pain rather than pick the phone up to make that appointment. ‘It’ll be fine’, ‘I’m ok really’ and ‘I haven’t got the time’ are the usual excuses so come on guys, in celebration of Men’s Health Week, give us a call. The chances are we can make a significant difference and I’m very tempted to say, “You’re worth it!”
And no it won’t cost the earth. Seeking help early means the cause of pain is sorted out far more quickly than a long term issue and could save you time, money and a lot of suffering.
Still need a final push to make that call? Well, until the end of July, there’ll be a
20% discount
for all new patients to celebrate Men’s Health week.
To be fair, this will be applied to men and women!
You just need to quote ‘Men’s Health Week’ when booking.
We’d love to know what you think of the new us
In our last newsletter, we announced the launch of our new website. Since then we’ve had a new logo designed and we’ve started posting regular articles designed to help you, covering a whole host of issues such as knowing when to see an osteopath, what we can do to help or what to do in the case of injury and ways of managing it. They really are all about you so we’d love to know what you think or better still, if you have an area you’d like to know more about, why not drop us a line or post a comment. And speaking of comments, there’s a great set of stretches for you to try up on our Facebook page which can help whether you’re in pain or not, so why not give them a go and give us a “like” while you’re there.
What’s been going on?
You probably know that here at MSO we love sport and last month we sponsored a hole for the Charity Golf Day at Haywards Heath Golf Club organised by the Kangaroos Charity. We’ve also recently battled the elements and taken part in the Haywards Heath Bike Ride which was a really great event, if not just a little wet and windy. Well done and thanks to all who organised and helped run both events which raised significant money for worthy local causes.
Enjoy the summer and take it easy whether you’re weeding the garden or enjoying a sport and don’t forget to get in touch if you suffer an injury, are struggling with pain or just need some friendly advice.
